Rajkot’s Printline enters into digital platemaking with Basysprint
Rajkot-based Printline Pre-process has entered into the digital printing plates exposing with the installation of Basysprint CTP 860x. The machine can produce up to 45 plates of 790×1030-mm per hour.
The Basysprint CTP was supplied and installed by Monotech Systems, the Indian representative of Basysprint.
Patel Janak Vasudev Bhai of Printline Pre-process said, “We installed the machine 15 days ago and are producing more than 100 plates per day. The size of the plates is 28×40-inches.
The month-old company started with the printing of identity cards. Now, it is supplying printing plates exposed by the CTP to eight customers.
“One of our relatives is already using the Basysprint CtP for the last ten years without any problem. His experience pushed us to opt for the exposing device,” Patel said.
He added that Monotech Systems suggested that the company opt for a smaller machine. “As the business grows, we will go for a VLF (very large format) CtP. Hopefully, after a year, we will be opting for a big machine,” he said. “We have a large number of offset printers in our vicinity and thus, we are optimistic about the future.”
Monotech Systems has installed more than 500 Basysprint CTPs in India.
Tejinder Singh, product head, packaging and printing solutions, Monotech Systems, said, “With the Basysprint, we are happy to serve the industry, especially when it comes to establishing new players in the industry. We have been able to install more than 500 CTPs in the country because of the sturdiness of the product and the responses from the industry.”
